Key note Lectures
AD magazine presents the lecture «Late Style» by the legendary architect Peter Eisenman. Peter Eisenman is a (1932) worldwide famous American architect, one of the founders of architectural deconstructivism. His major projects – Bruges Concert Hall, Belgium (1999), Mesee de Murdered Jews of Europe, Berlin (2005) City of Culture of Galicia, Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, Spain (1999 – present).
The new SPEECH: issue is devoted to the «Future». Modernization appears to be one of the basic future-oriented strategies. Thereby we have invited culture expert Kurt Reinhardt to give a lecture at the Biennale which will acquaint us with the past, present and future of one of the largest former coal mines in Europe – the Zollverein in Essen. He will give an account of the influence the transformation of the one-time industrial area has drawn on the whole Ruhr area.
